Medicare Supplements

Medicare Supplement Advantages

A. You can go to any hospital, any doctor, anyplace, anytime without asking
permission unlike an HMO. That, by itself, is worth its weight in gold.

B. All claims are filed automatically so you don't have to "lift a finger" to get
your claims paid.

C. If you travel or live somewhere else for a period of time every year as many
do, you can receive any hospital, doctor or any other medical needs
attended to with no questions asked.

D. If you travel outside the USA, your Medicare Supplement will pay a
substantial part of your medical bills. This is important as Medicare, in most
cases, covers nothing out of the country.*

E. If you have a Medicare Supplement which covers the $100.00 Part B
deductible, you pay nothing for services if the doctor participates with
Medicare. Most HMO's have a co-pay.**

Very Important

F. In the year 2004, if you have an HMO, you will be locked into that HMO
from November to November no matter how they may change benefits on
your program. That means there may be a mad scramble every November
with many people changing plans.

With a Medicare Supplement you can change plans and companies, medical
history permitting, as often as you wish. This means you can "shop" for the
best price.

Special Note

G. We, as Americans, enjoy freedom as the #1 benefit living in the USA. A
Medicare Supplement gives you this freedom and although Supplements cost
more than an HMO, they give you more. Why settle for less!!

Brindle Insurance Group has all ten "standardized" Medicare
Supplement Plans available at competitive rates to help cover the expense
of services not covered by Medicare Parts A & B.

To help make this comparison shop for you easier, the Federal Government
created 10 "standardized" plans...they are lettered A through J.  Any company's
plan C, for example, will be identical to any other company's plan C. The same
principle applies for the remaining other 9 Medicare Supplement plans.  This will
simplify your shopping for a Medicare Supplement insurance.

Since all carriers have the same 10 plans to choose from, companies differ in
service, ratings and PRICE. There can be a substantial difference in price for some
plans from company to company...even as much as 50% or 60%...FOR THE
SAME PLAN!! This is why utilizing an independent agent can save you big bucks!
The agent will shop the best price depending on your situation... health, income,
etc.

Each insurance carrier has their own underwriting criteria for Medicare
Supplements. In general, when buying a Medicare Supplement insurance plan, the
presence of certain health conditions may result in a higher price, as a better state
of health results in lower rates.
